1. Scope and controller
This notice explains how Mixture Industries SRL, the company that operates PixelSteer (“PixelSteer,” “we,” “us”), handles personal data when you visit pixelsteer.com, download or use PixelSteer, purchase a license, or contact us. Mixture Industries SRL is the controller for the processing described here. Contact us at support@pixelsteer.com.
2. Data we collect
We may receive contact and correspondence data you send us, such as your name, email address, company, support messages, and feedback. When you buy a license, Paddle may provide purchase and fulfillment data such as your name, email address, country, product, quantity, transaction identifiers, transaction status, and purchase date. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referrer, and security events. PixelSteer runs its local proxy and browser connection on your device; we do not receive your project source code or visual feedback through a hosted PixelSteer service unless you deliberately send it to us.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to operate and secure the website, process and fulfill purchases, issue and verify licenses, provide downloads and support, respond to messages, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain business and accounting records, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process data as necessary to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as operating, improving, supporting, and securing PixelSteer. Where consent is legally required, we rely on consent, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Paddle and other recipients
Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases and independently processes payment, tax, fraud-prevention, receipt, refund, and chargeback data under Paddle's privacy policy. We may also use service providers for hosting, content delivery, security, software distribution, communications, and professional advice. These include Cloudflare for website hosting and security and GitHub for source and release distribution. We may disclose data when legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
6. Cookies and local storage
The PixelSteer website does not use advertising cookies. Essential technologies may be used to deliver and secure the site and checkout. When you open Paddle Checkout, Paddle may use cookies or similar technologies needed to process the transaction, prevent fraud, and remember checkout state. Paddle controls its own checkout technologies under its privacy policy.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers are protected by adequacy decisions, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including license fulfillment and verification, support, security, tax and accounting obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement. Data is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy of data; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy decision. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise a right, email support@pixelsteer.com. We may need to verify your identity.
11. Children
PixelSteer is intended for developers and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as our practices or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@pixelsteer.com.
